German horse-drawn 15cm gun marching into enemy territory, 1940. Though almost invisible, the gun barrel has a muzzle cover with a red reflector. From a Farbdias group of a (later) ZKO officer. A fantastic photograph on many levels that would grace any book on World War II - also rare in that it shows German troops in relaxed mode. Don't forget the small details, such as the steam still coming off the horses! It maybe the only colour photograph to show the 150mm Feldhaubitze 18 in horse.Source :
