View from above of atomic bomb damage to the city of Hiroshima in the Chugoku region of Honshu, Japan in June 1946. On 6th August 1945, during World War II, the atomic bomb 'Little Boy' was dropped on Hiroshima and detonated 600 metres above the city centre causing enormous damage to the city's infrastructure.
